Hellé Nice is a French racing driver from the inter-war period, born at the dawn of the 20th century. The end of his life, in poverty and general indifference, contrasts with the flamboyance of his sporting exploits and his daring shows of the Roaring Twenties. This biopic offers the opportunity to rehabilitate his memory and to return to the remarkable creativity of the time, both artistically and technically. The extravagant Paris of the 20s and 30s is honoured, as are the Bugatti models, under the brush of Giuseppe Manunta. Here he expresses all his art by intermingling pastel blues with sepia.
